LAYERED AND TEXTURED CERAMICS

I am a Nottingham based potter and ceramic artist, designing and producing earthenware and stoneware ceramics.

 

Taking inspiration from rock pools and organic forms I make slab built, coiled and thrown pieces applying seaweed and barnacle shapes with layers of clay peeling off to add texture to the finished piece.

 

I also produce thrown and coiled vases and bowls decorated with white and bright blue glazes with metallic effects.  Look out for my new range of contemporary ceramics inspired by the textures of Nottingham Lace.

In Memory of The Rev Father Tony Luckcuck

 

I was recently commissioned to design and produce this vase in memory of Tony Luckcuck, the late vicar at St John the Baptist Church, Oakdale Road, Carlton.  The vase can be seen on display in the Church where it was blessed on Easter Sunday.

 

Tony was a great man and will be sadly missed.
